Today’s economy and housing market has home foreclosures on the rise. Daily there are news reports of the rising rates all over the country. House prices are lowering and this increases credit losses. The foreclosure statistics are climbing fast.

Security experts at Trend Micro have warned that new variants of the ZLOB Trojan are becoming quite effective at hijacking broadband routers, such as those manufactured by D-Link & LinkSys. The variants, such as TROJ_ZLOB.CCT and TROJ_ZLOB.CCS, tinker with an infected user’s router to redirect legitimate URL requests to wholly different sites.

PEAR::Encryption and Zend_Crypt Revisited

It's been a while since I did some active ZF/PEAR component development. It's been one of those 6 month periods where time to commit was a rarity for a few reasons. So now that I'm back on the road, where to? First of all I need to remember/reset my subversion password for the ZF repository! Whenever I don't use a password regularly I always forget it . I got a call around 6 PM last night from my publisher, inviting me to be on her radio show, Dragon’s Den – in two hours! Of course I said yes. Jumped in with both feet. Hopefully I didn’t sound like too much of an idiot – at least there were three of us there. I love doing radio, so I had a good time. You can hear the whole one hour
