IT'S good news for small-time inventors but a blow for some of the giants of technology. A bill going through the US Senate that would have slashed the damages inventors receive when patents are infringed has been kicked into the long grass.

There really is no debate. The generation known as the “baby boomers” is aging and moving into the retirement years, slowing down and facing an increase in health issues that are part of old age. But, at the same time the “boomers” are not going into their golden years without a fight and they seem to have more determination than any previous generation to stave off the effects of growing old. This is just one reason why they seem to be interested raw food books and the living raw way of life.

Lynn Proctor Windle has been named managing editor of The Mesquite News and The Rowlett Lakeshore Times, assuming the position from Brian Porter. She returns to an area where she spent most of her life. Proctor Windle was raised in Garland and graduated from Garland Christian Academy.
